Dr. Stefan Yakel is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon who specializes in providing surgical and nonsurgical care for the spine and offers the latest and most advanced treatment options, procedures and techniques. After receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis, Oregon. Following his residency, Dr. Stefan Yakel underwent extensive specialty training by completing a fellowship in spine surgery at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis.
As a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Demian Yakel’s expertise includes a wide variety of advanced procedures and techniques, including minimally invasive spinal decompression, artificial disc replacement and minimally invasive fusion. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed an internship and his orthopedic surgery residency. After his residency, he underwent additional training in adult and child reconstructive spinal surgery through a fellowship at Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas.
Dr. Gessel is fellowship-trained in conservative musculoskeletal care and specializes in offering nonsurgical solutions for a variety of back pain and nerve problems. After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Dr. Gessel completed a transitional internship at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus, also in Milwaukee. He went on to complete his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following his residency, Dr. Gessel stayed at the University of Washington and underwent extensive specialty training through a fellowship in sports medicine.
