Billing/MRI Assistant

  • Job Summary:  This position’s main responsibility is to provide support to all members of the billing and MRI Departments. The position will require knowledge in all areas. 
  • Qualifications :
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the medical field.
  • Basic knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, IDC-10 codes and modifiers and how they apply to and affect the processing of a claim.
  • Knowledge of registration information, the ability to read an insurance card and a patient’s account including charges and payments.
  • Knowledge of basic insurance contracting and allowables; as well as insurance benefits in regards to deductible, coinsurance etc. 
  • Knowledge of coordination of benefits when the patient has more than one payer.
  • Understanding of basic medical and insurance terminology.
  • This position requires the ability to work well on your own, as well as in a team setting.

 

Patient Services Representative

  • Patient Service representative main responsibility is to support the daily activities of the Surgical Center front office, including but not limited to, checking-in patients, keeping waiting area/business office neat, clean and organized; assist with insurance preauthorization’s as directed from front office assistants.
  • Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED)
  • Experience: Prefer two years of experience in a healthcare setting. Medical terminology and insurance preauthorization experience is preferred. Candidates should also be familiar with patient scheduling and healthcare privacy laws. 

Front Office Assistant

  • The Front Office Assistant’s main responsibility is to support the daily activities of the Surgical Center front office, including but not limited to, insurance preauthorization, scheduling, and checking-in patients.
  • Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalency degree (GED)
  • Experience: Prefer two years of experience in a healthcare setting. Medical terminology and insurance preauthorization experience is preferred. Candidates should also be familiar with patient scheduling and healthcare privacy laws.
