To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 while continuing to provide essential orthopedic services, Casper Orthopedics is offering new and existing patients telehealth appointments as an alternative approach to an office visit. This approach enables patients to safely visit with one of the practice’s specialty-trained providers from the comfort of their own home or office using video conference and telecommunications technology, such as a smartphone or tablet. Additionally, the practice is providing same-day care for bone, joint and muscle injuries through their OrthoCare Now at their Casper office, located at 4140 Centennial Hills Blvd. In addition to lowering exposure risk at the practice, these care measures will help Casper Orthopedics relieve pressure on hospitals, emergency rooms and urgent care facilities so that those providers can focus on fighting COVID-19 cases.

“At Casper Orthopedics, our first and foremost concern is the safety and well-being of our patients and staff,” says Charlie Robertson, CEO of Casper Orthopedics. “We not only want to do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the strain on our health system but also to make sure the residents of Casper, Douglas, Lander, Riverton, Worland and the surrounding areas continue to have access to essential orthopedic care.”

Through telehealth, Casper Orthopedics’ specialty-trained experts are able to provide initial diagnoses and care plans for most bone, joint and muscle injuries and conditions. This convenient technology is secure and complies with federal health privacy laws. It also offers area residents accurate, high-quality orthopedic care without risk to themselves and others as well as the practice’s providers and staff.

“Our staff is evaluating each patient, and if you need to come into the clinic, we have protocols in place to keep everyone safe,” says Robertson. “However, if we can safely provide patient care through telehealth, we will.

“We understand that these are challenging times,” continues Robertson, “but rest assured that Casper Orthopedics is doing everything we can to help our area communities.”
