Can I drive myself home after having surgery?
- No, due to medication used during your procedure, your ability to operate a vehicle is at risk.
Can I have anything to eat or drink before my surgery?
- You may not eat or drink after midnight the night before your surgery. This is because if there is any fluid or food in your stomach, there is a risk of complication called aspiration into the lungs, which can lead to pneumonia.
Can I get estimates on surgery costs?
- You may do so by contacting the business office at Wyoming Surgical Center for facility charge estimates.
Why do our doctors bill separately from the Surgical Center?
- There is a difference in the charges; doctors bill their professional fees and the Surgical Center bills the facility fee. Casper Orthopaedics and Wyoming Surgical Center are two distinct, independent businesses.
Can I make payments on the balance I may have?
- Yes, the Surgical Center will set up a mutually agreeable payment plan according to our guidelines.
What if I do not have insurance?
- The Surgical Center will estimate facility cost. We ask for 20% at the time of service, this is followed with a payment plan.
Can I be left alone following my surgery?
No, you receive medications that may impair your judgment or your ability to function normally. A caretaker should be with you for 24 hours following your surgery, so they can provide or call for help.
