Wyoming Surgical Center

Can I drive myself home after having surgery?

  • No, due to medication used during your procedure, your ability to operate a vehicle is at risk.

Can I have anything to eat or drink before my surgery?

  • You may not eat or drink after midnight the night before your surgery.  This is because if there is any fluid or food in your stomach, there is a risk of complication called aspiration into the lungs, which can lead to pneumonia.

Can I get estimates on surgery costs?

  • You may do so by contacting the business office at Wyoming Surgical Center for facility charge estimates.

Why do our doctors bill separately from the Surgical Center?

  • There is a difference in the charges; doctors bill their professional fees and the Surgical Center bills the facility fee.  Casper Orthopaedics and Wyoming Surgical Center are two distinct, independent businesses.

Can I make payments on the balance I may have?

  • Yes, the Surgical Center will set up a mutually agreeable payment plan according to our guidelines.

What if I do not have insurance?

  • The Surgical Center will estimate facility cost.  We ask for 20% at the time of service, this is followed with a payment plan.

Can I be left alone following my surgery?

No, you receive medications that may impair your judgment or your ability to function normally.  A caretaker should be with you for 24 hours following your surgery, so they can provide or call for help.
